The City of Corpus Christi Mayor’s 4^th of July Big Bang Celebration is an annual tradition with a long history of pleasing families. An amazing fireworks display is launched from a barge in Corpus Christi Bay, providing excellent visibility from all over.

Shoreline Blvd., in particular, offers some amazing views. You’ll also have plenty of visibility from across Harbor Bridge, and you can enjoy a more leisurely experience from one of several beaches that are less crowded than the main viewing area.

2. Visit the Texas State Aquarium.

Corpus Christi is home to many amazing attractions, including the Texas State Aquarium. This facility is home to dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, otters, and countless other ocean and river wildlife. The aquarium is also opening a new splash park for the 2023 season.

The aquarium is open on the 4^th of July, making it a great option for families with children of all ages. It is also conveniently located right on the bay, so you and your family can enjoy both the aquarium and the big fireworks show afterward.

Corpus Christi is home to an exceptional national landmark—the USS Lexington Museum, which provides an amazing learning experience aboard the last remaining World War II Essex Class aircraft carrier.
